En el verano. Hace mucho calor.
Small progress is still progress. This is my motto nowadays. It's always better to learn little by little than to do nothing at all. I'm still at page 15 of my Spanish book which is around 400 pages all in all. I hope I don't get discouraged in following days.
I'm also listening to Michel Thomas' audiobook on vocabulary building but I often fall asleep before I even get to listen to half of it. Oh well, I just hope I get more free time to study.
I've also started on learning Hiragana the other day. Today, I finished practicing up to "ta" and there's still a lot more to follow. There's nothing to be excited about yet but I wish I can keep this up.
The other day, I watched Hard Candy starring Ellen Page. It's a weird movie and I'm not sure if I would recommend it to anyone. Another film I saw was The House at The End of The Street starring Jennifer Lawrence. Likewise, I'm rating it as average or even a bit below average for being so predictable. Well, it's my fault for watching it anyway. I already saw the reviews in IMDb yet I still chose to see it.
Earlier today, I started reading Heart-shaped Box by Joe Hill. I've listened to the audiobook up to the fifth chapter months ago. Reading the e-book, I was a bit surprised that it was like I was seeing the story for the first time. Now, I'm not sure if I can commit to finishing this book but I'll try my best.
Anyway, it's supposed to be hot in the summer but these past few years, it rains a lot. Last year, there was even a typhoon during the summer season. These sudden changes in temperature makes my allergies worse. Now, I have rashes all over my face and it's hard to breathe at night. Global warming is such a drag.
Hmm... That's about it, I guess. I'm hoping next week will be more interesting.
